Working with Kathy Kelly, Manager of Health Education, on the development of health education tools, services and programs that impact the health of our patients and local communities. Projects will focus on promoting wellness and ways in which these concepts and tools can be deployed in other wellness projects throughout the organization and community.
Passionate, mission driven, Health Educator needed to take a highly successful school-based healthy eating/active living program to the next level. Plans, coordinates, implements and evaluates "5210: Numbers to Live By" program in K-12 schools and after school programs. Strong and proven organization, coordination and project management skills are crucial to success. Position requires a highly motivated, team-oriented collaborator who can develop and sustain effective work relationships with a wide range of people including program staff, school board members, principals, teachers, k-12 students and their families as well as community organizations with which we partner and collaborate. Must have the ability to influence without direct control and/or authority. Excellent curriculum development, teaching and public presentation skills are required as is the ability to balance numerous priorities, be detail-oriented, self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision. Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point. Flexible schedule to accommodate evening and weekend events.
3-5 years of program coordination experience, preferably with a nutrition-based community program or other school-based or community health program.
Nutrition education background sufficient to develop curriculum and deliver education to youth and their families
Project management concepts
Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Superior computer knowledge and skills
Registered Dietitian (RD)
Expertise in providing services to corporations
