General Description

Samsung is seeking a passionate and collaborative Technical Program Manager to join the Mobile Experience (MX) team in Mountain View, CA. We are a user experience team committed to driving product innovation within Samsung Mobile.

As a cross-disciplinary Health-focused product development team consisted of research, technology, design, strategy and product functions, we define the next generation of Health services experiences for Samsung products.

The Technical Program Manager will be a highly motivated individual who has a strong technical background in program management. The ideal candidate should be able to manage complex technology projects with aggressive schedules, deliver the projects on time. This includes figuring out innovative processes for efficiently planning, implementing, and delivering Samsung Health projects. The candidate possesses strong problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and an ability to influence business and technical leaders to contribute continue success to Samsung Health. The candidate should be passionate about the projects and delivering quality products in timely manner.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Work with Samsung's global teams to ensure that technology integration projects are delivered as per the requirements with high quality and on time.

  • Identify stakeholders by collaborating with cross-functional teams (user experience design, product management, software engineering, executives) across multiple geographies (US, Korea, India).

  • Using effective project/program management techniques to work closely with stakeholders to define scope, goals and deliverables in alignment with Samsung business goals

  • Work closely with stakeholders to define scope, goals and deliverables in alignment with Samsung’s business goals.

  • Own end-to-end project delivery with a focus of on-time and high quality. Define and track project deliverables by working closely with stakeholders.

  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify risks, issues and contingency plans

  • Communicate status and dashboards on a regular basis with the stakeholders.

  • Correctly represent the urgency of issues and escalate issues appropriately.

  • Lead and drive process change and improvement

  • Develop and manage program schedules, milestones and deliverables.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelors in Computer Science preferred

  • 5+ years’ professional experience in software engineering, program and project management

  • Certification in Program/Project Management or Scrum Master preferred

  • Demonstrated experience working with technology partners (of all sizes), to deliver projects involving multiple teams

  • Demonstrated experience in shipping consumer and/or enterprise solutions

  • Experience with Mobility products is desired, especially understanding of Android stack such as Kernel, Android Framework, Security Enhanced for Android, and Application layer.

  • Full understanding of how to manage end to end product lifecycle, from idea inception through development and launch

  • Demonstrated experience simultaneously working on multiple projects with multiple partners

  • Demonstrated experience communicating effectively across organizational structures and multiple management levels

  • Experience in health-related solutions is a huge plus

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment while prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities
