IT Quality Control Advisor will lead onshore and offshore test resources through the testing life cycle for healthcare domain SIT and UAT; review and approve all test artifacts created by vendor team before submitting to project team; develop and document test procedures and related quality standards for process improvement; review vendor execution plans to ensure timelines are met and progressing as expected; review vendor test results for accuracy; conduct daily review sessions of test metrics to ensure they are accurate and that quality standards are being met; review and approve Level of Effort (LOE) against requirements to ensure accurate LOE's are submitted; determine testing scope and plan resources accordingly; create test strategy, test plans and scripts based on business requirements; create and lead reviews of test strategies, test plans, test cases, test metrics and defect management; attend all project kick-off and status meetings to represent test team, provide test updates and resolve any issues; create ramp-up plans and onboard test teams; support release activities during implementation; write and execute SQL queries on DB2 and Teradata for use in test validation; enter scripts in RQM and verify they are tied to requirements in ReqPro; review RQM to ensure vendor resources have entered scripts; ensure all testing defects are entered into ClearQuest by test team; review ClearQuest reports to ensure defects are moving through triage and progressing as expected; conduct triage sessions for defect management; serve as liaison between business and IT; and attend discovery sessions to manage work intake.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus 5 years of experience leading onshore/offshore testing teams. Specific skills/other requirements (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): SIT/UAT team lead; test procedure and related quality standard development for process improvement; writing SQL queries on Teradata and DB2; Rational test management tool suite; testing scope definition, LOE estimation and resource planning; creating and leading reviews of test strategy, test plan, test metrics and defect management; release activity support during implementation; ramp-up plan creation and test team onboarding; liaison between business and IT; and healthcare domain. Position is a telecommuting position and can be performed from anywhere in the U.S. This is a telecommuting position which can be performed from anywhere in the United States.
