This position is responsible for probe card manufacturing process development, documentation, transfer and training. The probe card engineer will provide product performance characterization support, alpha/Beta card shipment and installation support, probe card manufacturing and field issue support.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for probe card manufacturing process development, integration and transfer to production
Support product characterization, and verify products meet target specifications
Lead alpha and beta probe card assembly and test. Support probe card installation at customer sites when necessary.
Responsible for process documentation, work instruction and production training.
Support production or customer application on probe card related issues.
Take responsibility to recommend and execute on corrective actions.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED
BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or a related engineering field.
4+ years of experience or equivalent
Experience with process development in semiconductor or MEMS R&D and manufacturing environments
Hands-on engineer. Good knowledge of GD&T. Experience in mechanical design a plus.
Strong problem solving and data analysis skills
Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, JMP, MATLAB
Some travel is required for this position
Willingness to take responsibility and ownership to aggressively focus on problems either individually or part of a larger team
Ability to set corrective action direction and follow-thru on solutions.
Comfort working with a wide variety of different functions including R&D, Process Integration, and Operations to effectively accomplish tasks in a timely manner
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
