We need a talented software engineer to join our GC, mass spectrometry data acquisition team to create the next generation software that satisfies current marketplace needs as well as those of our future customers.

Use your expert-level software and technical leadership skills within a small Scrum team to reduce customer needs to user stories, convert stories to a practical design, perform task breakdown & estimation, and implement the necessary functionality while supporting the requirements of the product development life cycle. Your skills are a key factor in the quality and success of our products and thus of our eventual business performance.

As the successful candidate, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and contributing technically to the development of GCMS Quadrupole driver software within a Scrum team

  • Working with other technical leads to implement related software components & features

  • Collaborating with Hardware/Firmware teams to define the system interfaces

  • Collaborating with multiple Data System teams to define the system and user interfaces

  • Facilitating the Agile process and managing the implementation of User Stories within the team

  • Troubleshooting and identifying problems

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering or equivalent education and experience

  • 7+ years’ experience in hands on SW design and development; 5+ using C# and Microsoft .NET development tools

  • Design and development experience with projects having real-time, multi-threading, and user experience considerations

  • Proficient in object-oriented programming and design patterns in C#

  • Proficient in WPF user interface development using MVVM

  • Track record of successful project deliveries and in meeting project timelines

  • Hands-on experience in a Scrum Master or similar role facilitating teams using Agile life cycle processes

  • Must have excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work individually or collaboratively within cross-functional global teams

  • Experience with Software localization, working with software for a regulated and/or audited environment, or chromatographic data systems experience a plus

  • Proficient with automated testing and related tools such as NUnit, SpecFlow, and/or Mocking libraries a plus

  • Background in Mass Spectrometry, data acquisition, data analysis, medical or other type of instrument products a plus

  • Embedded programming experience a plus
