Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and suggest improvements to the architecture.
Manages and controls activities in multi-functional areas of sections. Ensures appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet Corporate specifications. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

You are an experienced and passionate User Experience Design practitioner and team leader who is able to set vision and direction on large UX projects and initiatives and drive those efforts to successful completion while providing support, guidance and direction to the UX designers who are engaged in the work.
You are able to execute on strategic-level decisions in the areas of: UX design and interaction, information architecture, visual design, design research and analysis. You know how to craft a concrete plan of action, manage that plan to completion while accounting for the changes and challenges that may occur along the way.
You are comfortable defining and driving our products user experiences with autonomy, leadership and ownership, while working with with cross-discipline teams to own and define scope and feature set, driving schedules, improving processes and providing direction and mentorship to the team.
You are able to deal with the most complex and/or highly technical design problems with large impact on our products User Experience, and your time is split and directed roughly two-thirds at tactical considerations, and one-third at strategic considerations.
You define the User Experience of large-scale projects, across platforms and departments.
You work closely with cross-functional disciplines to conceive, propose, and sell new ideas, strategies, or concepts, and guide those projects to completion.
You manage and mentor other designers. You define process and deliverables and drives the best practices in design research and analysis, information architecture, interaction design, UI and visual design.
You design complex, large-impact solutions from the ground-up. You have an understanding of technical capabilities, user research and business acumen that provides justification for design decisions.
You are a key driver of User Experience for our products. You conceive creative ideas and solutions that meet the needs of the user while balancing business and technical requirements. You are responsible for the end-to-end design process. You deliver high-quality, comprehensive deliverables that are user-focused, simple and intuitive, and present those designs to executive level management and at end-of-sprint demos.
You drive design and user experience discussions across the company and shares the latest research, developments and ideas from among the outside design community with internal team members.
You lead design efforts on mid to large-scale projects that span multiple platforms, teams or departments. Initiates and garners support for new ideas and projects, working to constantly improve the User Experience.
You actively participate in recruiting, interviewing and hiring.
Requirements of the Role
Requires a Bachelor s degree, graduate degree (or the equivalent of relevant work experience) in Interaction Design, User Experience Design, HCI, Human Factors, Industrial Arts, or related field.
Has seven or more years of industry experience in User Experience Design.
Must have a strong portfolio including projects of large-scale, complexity, and strategic in nature. Demonstrates an ability to initiate and own a project end-to-end and to create scalable solutions against tough constraints. Must be able to interpret and apply advanced principles and theory to the most complex problems.
Requires expert-level skill in Information Architecture, Interaction Design, and User Experience design. Requires the ability to include User Research findings and methodologies in their process. Experience creating brand guidelines and design patterns is required. Basic front-end development skills are desirable.
Expert in design tools (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, Axure, OmniGraffle, CSS HTML, etc.) and knowledge of technologies (cloud, web, mobile, responsive, Android, iOS, etc.) required for the specific design role.
