Apple is looking for a world-class Display Silicon Digital Architect to join the Display Silicon Architecture Team to define the requirements for digital and mixed signal silicon in Apple’s world leading displays.
In depth knowledge of top down silicon development process from RTL to GDSII
Experience evaluating design tradeoffs such as speed, performance, power, area, etc.
Experience specifying requirements for high speed serial interfaces, peripheral interfaces, PLLs, internal bus architecture, data path architecture, memory systems, state machines, and communication protocols
Good math and analytical skills
Experience with multiple tape outs
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience writing chip level requirements specfications and microarchitecture specifications
Working knowledge of Verilog, FPGA prototyping, verification methodologies, tool flow, scripting languages
Hands on lab bring-up experience, debug, chipscope and instrument usage
Ability to model system level functionality in high level language such as C or Matlab.
Working cross-functionally with many different teams throughout Apple, presenting ideas and concepts to peers and management, and capturing requirements in formal documents are all key elements of this role.
Video processing and display experience is desired but not required.

Min: MSEE/CS with 6+ years of experience or BSEE/CS with 10+ years of experience in digital design and architecture
