Job Summary

This is a role that is internal to US Contract Management: US Contract Agreement, Compliance Lead.

The role requires a seasoned Contract Practitioner to put a processes and systems in place to track our contract obligations. This is a heavy lifting role and will require significant cross functional work at multiple levels.

The candidate is tasked with defining, optimizing and operationalizing a number of comprehensive, robust capabilities required to enable the successful execution of contracts for Apple across a variety of routes-to-market and business models. The scope of responsibility includes the end to end lifecycle; all phases and components of contract management, including BIDs/RFX. It is highly cross functional in nature, and solutions will be focused on simplification with a major emphasis on improving Apple’s customer experience.

Key Qualifications The successful candidate will be discrete, high-energy, agile-minded, strategic, proactive, a direct communicator, highly organized and able to thrive in a fast-moving, complex environment. A demonstrated understanding and strong working knowledge of applicable commercial, legal principles.

  • Adept with contract analysis, and compliance requirements including execution processes designed to align with internal finance policies and SOX & internal audit requirements.

  • Deep and broad understanding of Apple’s Contract Compliance requirements iCATS.

  • Experience in the negotiation, of commercial and direct public sector contracts, and deep knowledge of Apple’s Terms and Conditions.

  • Versed in mediation across all aspects of compliance, to ensure mitigation of all risk to Apple, whilst providing a neutral stance and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

  • Ability to work on contractual issues of diverse scope, from RFX, BIDs, Negotiation and Contract Lifecycle.

  • Posses strategic business planning capabilities as well as tactical execution skills.

  • Detail orientated and continuos follow through particularly for long lead-time activities

  • Project management skills including presenting and delivering on project objectives, timelines, milestones and updates with measurable business benefits to all.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills and content creation.

This is a ‘hands on’ position, responsible for ensuring that all internal functional systems and checkpoints are in place to guarantee contract compliance and execution adherence, end to end for US Contracts. The successful candidate will stand up an internal practice to enable proactive monitoring and risk mitigation measures in support of Corporate Compliance requirements associated to US Sales for all Channels, existing and future. This role will establish and maintain internal compliance policies and procedures and will work with Corporate Compliance, and Legal to align the contract template library to meet all audit requirements, such as the Centralized Tracking System (iCATS). This includes supporting US Sales and the business in the development of effective action and risk mitigation plans.

This role will also be responsible for implementing best practices and repeatable, measurable support mechanisms required for investigating, responding to, and tracking compliance matters pertaining to criminal history investigation where applicable that are tied to terms and conditions contained within customer agreements.


BA/BS required
