As the Senior Program Manager Master Data, WW Sales Business Process Re-Engineering (BPR) within the Enabling Technology organization, you will work with a globally dispersed cross-functional team to lead resources, prepare appropriate documentation based on the project size, delegate tasks to team members, effectively and clearly communicate project status, manage project risk, monitor the change readiness of the business as well as conduct post implementation audit reviews. You will oversees all aspects of project information including timelines, scope and definition, and provide oversight of a global portfolio of master data projects.
Proven track record of leading master data projects combined with the ability to execute at tactical project-level activities and tasks.
Extensive master data management experience in managing organizations, hierarchies, relationships, territories and customer data. Preferred experience in using Informatica MDM product and extensive hands-on experience with SQL.
Experience in integrating external data sources into a master data hub such as Duns&Bradstreet.
Experience managing large complex technical projects.
Experience planning, managing, delivering medium (6-8 month) to large (8-12+ month) projects.
Proficient at managing multiple efforts simultaneously in a global company.
Excellent communication across project and management teams.
Excellent leadership skills that enhance project team effectiveness.
Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
Data Modeling and good knowledge of the party model.
Proficient knowledge of data quality, data profiling and data governance processes and technologies used to facilitate these.
Ability to facilitate Brainstorming sessions to gather requirements with business and BPR, and Information Technology group (IS&T)
The candidate must have the ability to manage medium to large size, global cross- functional projects. We are seeking an experienced program manager to manage complex master data implementations to CRM, BI, Territory Management, Contracts and several other in-house developed Sales applications. The candidate will be responsible for managing and improving data quality, integrating new data source, improving data matching and trust rules, and supporting the data governance organization.
This position requires this person to work with several cross functional teams, regional BPR, business and IS&T in delivering trusted master data. This position requires someone who is passionate for master data and data quality in general.
This may include:
Understanding future strategies and directions to anticipate needs
Building Internal and external expertise driving best practice and innovation.
Building SQL queries to profile and analyze data, data cleansing, migration and improving data quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage several concurrent projects in Enabling Technology team.
Act as a liaison between the business teams and IS&T (Information Systems and Technology or Apple's IT organization) to ensure that the business requirements are complete and met by the proposed technology solutions
Drives the design, development, implementation and management of solution and improvements to data quality
Work with business leads, IS&T and WW BPR leads to define and manage business process and technology roadmaps in support of long-term master data strategies
Manage change. Implement new ideas effectively within the Apple culture. Influence decisions and change management through collaboration, leadership and a customer- focused approach
Provide functional subject matter expertise in data modeling and master data management.
Manage complex projects to major milestones
Develop and maintain key project governance documentation to ensure the proper amount of structure is applied to enable project success
Gather and synthesize detailed, global business requirements and design specifications
Facilitate project-related testing, roll-out, and post-mortem work
Bachelors degree required:
5 years of master data management experience in high-tech/consumer electronics industry or consulting.
5-10 years experience in managing large global technical projects
Prior consulting experience with Big 4 Consulting Firms is desirable, but not required
Exceptional project management skills with a maniacal attention to detail, and a proven ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization
Experience working on projects for teams based outside the U.S.
Strong written and communication skills
Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment
Self-motivated, driven individual who is comfortable working in a global, matrixed, fast-paced environment
Knowledge of industry best practices, third-party providers, and technologies
