We are building a new service to semantically capture and execute conversation flows. This new service will allow developers to create conversation flows and expose them in our knowledge store. Conversation flows are described semantically, so they can run anywhere and be searched for.

We’re looking for an Engineer who is self-motivated, self-directed, and able to work in a fast changing environment to help us maintain our momentum. This position will drive the detailed technical design/implementation of key features through to delivery and sustained operability, as well as collaborate with senior technical leaders in the team to define and refine larger architectural efforts. You will receive broad exposure to web application development in a high-scale, high-energy team that will be moving as fast as possible to deliver innovative, industry-leading features. In order to succeed in our organization, you will have to love cross group collaboration - we have active partnerships with Windows, Office, Bing, Windows Phone, Xbox, HoloLens, and Surface Hub, to name a few.

Qualifications include:

2+ years of experience with development in C#/C++/Java/Python.

BS degree in CS or related engineering field.

Solid design, programming and problem-solving skills.

Good communication, collaboration and planning skills.

Knowledge of information retrieval, statistics, machine learning, NLP is a plus.

Experience in designing and implementing large scale, highly available, fault tolerant distributed systems is a plus.

Practical knowledge and experience with at least two skills listed below are required for this position:

o Good practical knowledge of C# or Python, tools and libraries.

o Design and implementation of large scale, highly available, fault tolerant distributed systems.

o Management of complex system dependencies and designing for extensibility.

o Monitoring, logging and troubleshooting of large scale distributed systems.

o Messaging and serialization protocols.

o Good understanding of distributed system configuration.
