Intuit Payments Operations & Interchange Lead in Mountain View, California

We are looking for a strong leader who is a creative problem solver with a passion for innovation to join our team and help us revolutionize the way small businesses and self-employed individuals run their business and deliver on our mission of “powering prosperity around the world.” The Interchange Leader for Intuit Payments will lead the overall interchange strategy across all of our Payments products.




  • Collaborate with a cross functional team on driving revenue growth across our $30B in annual payment charge volume and 3M+ customers in the QuickBooks ecosystem

  • Partner closely on all business development and deal flow activities to manage interchange costs with key processors: Visa, MasterCard, and AMEX

  • Help in the development of new, innovative approaches to interchange management, product strategy and go-to-market activities

  • Set vision, prioritization and roadmap for our interchange strategy to improve Customer experience and Payments revenue

  • Leverage intimate industry expertise to ensure market competitiveness and compliance to payments regulations

  • Work closely with Finance and Business Operations to analyze, monitor and actively optimize interchange rates, discount rates, and net spread across our entire payments portfolio

  • Use financial and competitive insights gained through rigorous analysis and research to achieve alignment between price, value, and business KPIs

  • Build consensus among cross-functional partners and influence decision making within executive level audiences



  • Minimum of 8 years of experience from a top tier Payments Service Provider, Gateway and/or Merchant Acquiring Institution in a Product Operations and/or Business Strategy role

  • Experience leading negotiations on interchange and other fees with leading Payments processors and network

  • Knowledge of payments processing and industry (e.g. relationship and inner workings of issuers, acquirers, card schemes, etc.)

  • Knowledge of interchange rates, discount rates, and other fees related to payment processing

  • Ability to effectively work across and influence within a highly matrixed organization

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
