Google Campaign Analytics Lead in Palo Alto, California

The Nest Business Analytics team drives decision making at Nest across Product, Sales, Marketing, and Operations. The team strives to:

We’re looking for someone who really gets good marketing. We want an analyst who isn’t afraid to work hand-in-hand with our marketing team to continuously improve how we talk to our audience, isolating opportunities and obstacles. This role offers a chance to work on a fast-growing, beloved brand, and will work with best-in-class measurement tools.

The work:

  • Connect brand and partner marketing programs and activities to the marketing funnel

  • Create and maintain a dashboard of key brand metrics; monitor and share insights at a frequent cadence throughout the year

  • Visualize data to communicate performance and impact of marketing programs and activities

  • Help brand and partner marketers understand the results of their efforts and optimize results

  • Use data insights to help marketers find, attract, and nurture target audiences

  • Track and analyze the connection between online sales and earned, owned and social media

  • Create a practice of using data analytics to evaluate alliance and partnership opportunities

  • Develop new, more rigorous ways to measure business impact of executive communications and brand advocacy

  • Measure Nest’s brand equity

Minimum qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience in analytics or related field (e.g. banking, consulting)

Preferred qualifications:

  • Degree, preferably an MS in mathematics, statistics, operations research, computer science, engineering, econometrics, or similar quantitative analytics discipline

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Good verbal and written communication skills, ability to convey statistical concepts and analytical results to non-experts

  • Ability to work well in cross-functional teams and prioritize requests from multiple stakeholders

  • Fluency with survey tools and techniques (e.g. Google Surveys)

  • Familiarity with Google analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Big Query)

  • Experience with online mobile retail

  • Solid SQL skills

  • Experience with Forecasting and predictive modeling

  • Experience using R and or Python for data analysis a plus

  • Great with data visualization -- Tableau or R graphics a plus
