Performs excellent patient care, utilizing established nursing procedure, clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills. Circulate/Scrub or willingness to learn to scrub. Must be able to work under stress and deal effectively with a variety of people. The Main OR has 21 suites and 2 sterile cores. Primary service is neuro surgery. Cases include spine procedures (both decompressions and fusions), functional neuro surgery including deep brain stimulation, and vascular neuro surgery including aneurysm repair and EC/IC bypass. This role works as part of a multidisciplinary team and you can be floated to other service lines. We are a level one trauma center with 24/7 service which requires all team member to take call.

Minimum Qualifications: Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program. BSN preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years acute care Operating Room experience and prefer minimum of one year of neuro surgery
Licensure/Certification: Current California RN License Current AHA Healthcare Provider BCLS certification
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Flexible team player across roles and cultures. Circulate/scrub CVOR willing to train in scrub role Effective communication skills in English both verbally and in writing. Problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills a must. Interpersonal relationship skills. Ability to prioritize. Able to give and receive constructive feedback
