Job Description

The sector Human Resource & Organization is responsible for the development and implementation of all activities concerning HR&O;: Resources, Compensation & Benefits, Organizational Development, Development & Learning and Information and Process Control. In this role you will work from San Jose office and report into a Sr. HR Manager.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Will be responsible to partner with specific client groups, to resolve employee relations issues and provide day to day guidance to management, including coaching, counseling, career development and disciplinary actions.

  • Formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value added services to management and employees.

  • Develops, implements and maintains employment programs, employment practices, to attract and retain the brightest minds.

  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation. Consults with management on organizational structure, workforce planning and succession planning.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or a related field or the equivalent experience.

Experience
  • 3 or more years of HR Business Partner experience in high-technology environment

  • PHR is highly desired.

Personal skills
  • Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines, including: Compensation practices, organizational analysis, employee relations, diversity, performance management and federal and state employment laws.

  • Must be resourceful with strong analytical skills with the ability to think creatively to solve problems.

  • Interpersonal and communication skills and ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.

  • Must have the ability to work independently in a very dynamic / change oriented environment.

  • Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Must be team-oriented and demonstrate the ability to work with cross functional and international teams.

  • Must be proficient in MS word, Excel, Power Point, with working knowledge of HRIS systems.

Context of the position

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. Daily use of a computer is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings.
