This position will be a key stakeholder in the workflow for the lab acting as liaison between the design teams (customers) and our team to review, analyze, collaborate, educate and communicate design submissions to ensure they are machinable. This position will interact dynamically with Engineering, Management, Model Makers and Leadership in the shop to collaborate on best methods, materials, dimensional tolerances and secondary processes needed to achieve fast turnaround and high quality products.

The goals of this position are to achieve simplicity through standardization while maintaining respect and trust across functional teams. This position must leverage a strong understanding of how programming, setup, fixturing and other activities are dependent on complexity and size of parts and be able to facilitate discussions around material type, form, tolerances, access and other key enablers for successful manufacturing.
