We are seeking a software engineering manager to lead a large scale automation team qualifying new releases of iOS and macOS.

Key Qualifications

  • Fundamental understanding of operating systems

  • Strong C and OO programming skills

Description

We are looking for a strong engineering manager who is not afraid to question assumptions and tackle big problems. Help us develop large scale automation infrastructure, test suites for new features and technologies, and build out new metrics to gauge the quality of our operating systems. An ideal candidate is someone who is a jack-of-all-trades, able to handle both technical and managerial challenges. You must have excellent communication skills and be able to interact with engineering teams, project management staff, and other test organizations.

Responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Determining requirements for automation systems

  • Manage engineers who develop and improve automation systems

  • Staff up team to support numerous parallel projects

  • Determine tests to be automated by interfacing with development teams and QA teams

  • Work cross-functionally with development teams to help implement their own local testing solutions

Education

BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Additional Requirements

Testing background (unit, API, functional, reliability, etc)

iOS development including knowledge of Objective-C/Cocoa

Broad scripting experience (JavaScript, Bash, Perl, Ruby, Python)

Web and database development (Rails, SQL, etc.)
