Apple is looking for a senior systems integration engineer with low level operating system and firmware knowledge to create next generation product experiences. The systems integration team follows products from cradle to grave. In this highly visible role, you will be at the center of a system design effort interfacing with all disciplines. This role directly affects getting functional products to customers quickly.
5+ years overall experience.
Great SW fundamentals and experience writing software in at least one programming language.
Experience with existing system abstractions and building new system abstractions.
Experience with microprocessor based systems like x86 and ARM.
Experience with bring-up and debugging of prototype hardware.
Experience developing requirements and documentation.
Proven analytical and problem solving skills.
Proven cross-functional leadership. Description
As a senior systems integration engineer, you will help lead the design and implementation of cross-functional features. As a result you will need a wide understanding of software concepts and the ability to relate them to their respective feature. Due to the cross-functional nature of this position you will need excellent interpersonal skills. These skills will help navigate domain experts to architect good solutions that can be taken to product delivery.
Ability to understand engineering analysis of complex systems and interpret the result in relation to the user experience.
Understanding of EE system development and manufacturing.
Understanding of graphics.
Understanding of system performance.
Networked/linked application communications experience.
Realtime system experience.
BS or MS and relevant experiences
Desired experience and skills:
Experience in a fast paced, cross functional software environments.
Experience with C/C++ and Python.
