Microsemi Corporation Sr. Sales Operations Analyst in Sunnyvale, California

The Sr. Sales Operations Analyst is highly analytical, data driven, efficient at problem solving and adept at learning systems; responsible for the coordination of cross-divisional sales processes, and generating meaningful sales metric analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Coordination of sales processes between external customers, internal divisions, and senior management
  • Drive price-book process excellence across all business units (productivity, consistent methodologies and skill development) through the coordination of QTRLY consolidated publication and implementation of continuous improvements
  • Assess sales processes, propose and implement efficiency improvements
  • Prepare routine and ad-hoc descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics/reporting of sales metrics and other disciplines
  • Support improved sales actual to plan performance of controllable expense through reporting, budgeting, forecasting and flux analysis
  • Develop, maintain, and update systems (tools, cubes, master data) and processes critical to the reporting and tracking of performance metrics as well as related process documentation
  • Partner with IT ensuring essential data integrity and enhancing the productivity of the Sales field and management teams; development reporting capabilities which enhance the productivity of the Sales field and management teams

A background in Sales Operations as well as Finance and/or Business Planning is required together with the ability to apply this experience in a analytical means to a variety of changing business requirements.

  • B.S. or equivalent education and experience in business, finance, or related discipline
  • 5+ years direct experience in Finance, Sales Operations or Business Operations; semiconductor and/or pricing analysis experience is a plus
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel is essential; excel modeling is critical
  • Effective presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of management and subject matter experts
  • Confidently coordinate across a decentralized organization
  • Works well with minimal supervision; assertive self-starter with a demonstrated ability to take ownership for projects and drive to completion
  • Must have outstanding organizational skills, detail oriented, and skilled at performing a variety of tasks with a high degree of accuracy
  • Experience with sales support software applications including Business Intelligence tools and CRM applications
  • Experience with building reports, interpreting data, and presenting results
  • Capacity to manage and interpret large volumes of data and communicate conclusions
  • Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently
  • Aptitude and desire to learn new skills with an enthusiasm for acquiring systems knowledge
  • Talent for identifying areas for improvement in existing processes
